FN Expands line of FN 15 Modern Sporting Rifles with the All-New FN 15 Guardian
FN Expands line of FN 15 Modern Sporting Rifles with the All-New FN 15 Guardian
This High-Value Carbine Delivers the Quality and Reliability Behind all FN Products
(McLean, VA – April 13, 2023) FN America, LLC is pleased to announce the launch of the FN 15® Guardian™, the newest addition to the company’s modern sporting rifle product line. This carbine is derived from FN’s battle-proven blueprint, delivering FN reliability to all sport shooters and personal protectors who value affordable quality. Chambered in 5.56 and weighing in at 6.6 pounds, the direct-impingement rifle is outfitted with a 15-inch M-LOK® free-floated aluminum handguard and MIL-B-11595 CMV barrel. These premium, FN factory-installed upgrades produce tack-driving accuracy, add customization options, and improve handling.
“High quality and affordability don’t typically go hand-in-hand, but today’s buyer deserves to have the best of both worlds when they’re investing their hard-earned money into a rifle. That’s why we chose to develop the FN 15 Guardian,” said Chris Cole, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for FN America, LLC. “As a leader in barrel manufacturing, FN has some of the most sought-after and high-quality AR-style rifles in the industry. For the release of the FN 15 Guardian, we focused our energy into creating an extremely high-value, reliable carbine that carries the legacy of our manufacturing expertise to new FN customers.”
The FN 15 Guardian is chambered in 5.56x45mm and features a 16-inch button-broached, hybrid-profile barrel with 1:7 twist finished with the classic A2-style flash hider that reduces visible flash during fire. The barrel is machined from 4150 chrome-moly vanadium steel that has been high-pressure tested (HPT), magnetic particle inspected (MPI) and certified, and nitrided to deliver an extremely durable, hardened surface finish that provides corrosion resistance. Paired with the free-floated handguard, the Guardian is capable of exceptional accuracy with match-grade factory ammunition to extend target engagement ranges.
The bolt carrier group is machined from 9310 alloy steel that has also been HP/MPI tested and certified for enhanced strength and durability, and the gas key has been sealed, torqued and staked. The mid-length gas system and low-profile gas block work seamlessly together to ensure reliable operation, while reducing felt recoil.
The lightweight, 15-inch aluminum handguard attaches to the upper receiver via a robust mounting system that securely fastens to the receiver and enables a fully free floated barrel for enhanced accuracy. The handguard features a continuous top rail and 24 M-LOK slots at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions, providing ample space for mounting sights, optics and other accessories.
“When we created the specification for the FN 15 Guardian, our focus was on perfecting the foundation of the rifle to ensure the high standards for FN quality remained, cutting corners to reduce the purchase price was not an option, our customers expect more from our brand and we have to deliver on that trust.” said Scott Vilardi, Senior Product Manager for Law Enforcement and Commercial Carbines. “When you handle our newest carbine at the gun counter and shoot it on the range, you’ll notice the premium fit and finish stands out at this price tier. We’ve paid special attention to the core components to overdeliver on accuracy potential, ergonomics and fast-handling capability. With the new Guardian, FN customers have a dependable and high-quality carbine that’s ready to perform right out of the box and can be easily customized with most AR-pattern components.”
For a streamlined look and feel, as well as reduced snag points, the slick-sided upper receiver eliminates the forward assist while still featuring a brass deflector and ejection port cover to keep spent brass from ejecting back toward the user as well as dirt and debris from entering the moving parts group of the rifle. Additionally, the upper receiver features a tried-and-true MIL-SPEC charging handle and safety selector lever for ease of operation.
The lower receiver is machined from a 7075-aluminum forging, hard coat anodized for a premium surface finish and durability. The carbine is complete with a single-stage MIL-SPEC trigger that ranges from 4.75 – 7.5 pounds along with FN’s custom-designed 30-round magazine and furniture, developed for improved ergonomics and handling.
The custom furniture package, also offered as individual accessories, include the 30-round magazine with in-mold stippled grip texture, polymer matrix construction and anti-tilt follower. A six-position glass-filled polymer stock has three sling attachment points and an anti-snag latch for a tight lockup to the buffer tube, eliminating rattle. The pistol grip is molded with the same durable, polymer matrix material, an optimal 19.5-degree grip angle and in-mold stippled texture to improve control and handling.
The FN 15 Guardian has a suggested retail price of $999.00 and ships with one 30-round magazine packaged in a unique branded cardboard box with owner’s manual. In addition to the Guardian, the FN 15 series of modern sporting rifles include the FN 15 TAC3 and DMR3, along with a complete line of accessories like upper and lower receivers, barrels, furniture and magazines.
The FN 15 Guardian will be on display at the FN Booth (Booth 5450) at the 152nd NRA Annual Meetings. The convention, hosted at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, will take place April 14-16, 2023.
Redefining Concealed Carry with the All-New FN Reflex
Redefining Concealed Carry with the All-New FN Reflex
Introducing the FN Reflex Micro Compact 9mm Pistol
(McLean, VA – April 11, 2023) FN America, LLC redefines the micro compact pistol segment with the release of the FN Reflex™ and Reflex MRD 9mm pistols, giving concealed carriers the ability to respond instinctively with speed and control. The FN Reflex sets a new standard in the world of everyday carry with its light and crisp 5-pound single-action-only (SAO) trigger, optics-ready capabilities and cold hammer-forged barrel for enduring accuracy.
The FN Reflex is a slim, one-inch micro compact that puts 27 rounds at the ready with the included 11-round and 15-round magazines. With its advanced ergonomics and stippled frame texture, concealed carriers have unmatched control over recoil in an extremely small pistol. A revolutionary fire control group with an internal hammer produces the best trigger feel in a micro compact pistol. Paired with the cold hammer-forged barrel and factory-milled slide for an MRD, the FN Reflex produces match-grade accuracy from a micro compact pistol that is incredibly easy to shoot and conceal. The pistols are available in both standard and MRD (micro red dot) configurations as well as both black and flat dark earth (FDE) finishes.
“Innovation is at the core of FN’s product development efforts. We aspire to push beyond the status quo to deliver products that provide meaningful improvement over the existing landscape, and we feel we’ve accomplished this with the FN Reflex,” said Mark Cherpes, President and CEO for FN America, LLC. “Our customers now have a firearm they can trust to perform when seconds count, that is backed by a quality promise rooted in our battle-tested heritage.”
To meet the needs of this growing market segment, the FN Reflex features an internal hammer design that delivers an impressive, best-in-class trigger in terms of overall feel and pull weight. Upon handling, customers will immediately notice that the trigger has a consistent take-up to the wall with a crisp break at approximately 5 pounds. Aside from the incredibly smooth trigger, the internal hammer design also allows for reduced slide racking force and the ability to disassemble the pistol without pulling the trigger that make the FN Reflex easy to manipulate and safe to maintain. Lastly, multiple redundant safeties within the fire control make the FN Reflex an extremely safe and reliable concealed carry pistol.
“The concealed carry 9mm pistol category is the fastest growing pistol segment in our industry because more and more people are taking their personal protection seriously. But their choices have been limited to a few options, until now,” said Chris Cole, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for FN America, LLC. “With the release of the FN Reflex and Reflex MRD, consumers have a new choice that embraces future-forward concealed carry technology. It is the first micro compact handgun to solve the tradeoffs for accuracy, deep concealment and max capacity, which consumers have often compromised on in the past. We’re confident this new pistol has set a new standard for everyday carry.”
The FN Reflex is capable of achieving match-grade accuracy from its a 3.3-inch cold hammer-forged barrel, which is housed within a 6.2-inch slide that has front and rear cocking serrations for easy slide racking and press checks. Both models are configured with three-dot iron sights with a tritium front night sight that aids in low light sight acquisition. Micro red dot (MRD) models have a factory-milled slide to direct mount a micro red dot in a few minutes. The optics mount features a top plate that is removed to install a micro red dot and includes mounting screws. The optic mounting system is compatible with the Shield RMSc, Holosun K-series and is capable of accepting more than six micro red dot optics with similar footprints. Configured with the smallest optics, the FN Reflex MRD is extremely low profile, making deep concealment even easier with reduced snag points under cover garments.
“What sets Reflex apart results from FN’s approach to development,” said John Ryan, Director of Product Management for FN America, LLC. “Our team studied the impacts of user interface and ergonomics on the overall shooting experience as an important part of this project. The result is a slim 1-inch-wide micro compact pistol that fits comfortably in the hand, with an easy to rack slide, and excellent trigger. The use of multi-faceted texturing anchors the gun to your hand during fire. And the overall low bore axis of Reflex further reduces felt recoil making this incredibly small pistol easy to conceal, control and shoot accurately.”
The FN Reflex boasts impressive ergonomics from its slim, 1-inch-wide grip frame and controls that have been optimized for everyday carry like the oversized slide lock and low-profile, reversible magazine release. With a grip angle and profile that have been specifically designed to deliver a natural point of aim, enabling faster sight acquisition and match-grade accuracy. The pistol’s frame also features an aggressive in-mold stippled texture in the palm swell that locks the pistol into the hand along with vertical scale-like texturing on the front and back straps that prevent the pistol from rocking back and forth under recoil. Contributing to the controllability of the FN Reflex is the extremely low bore axis that works together with the grip profile, angle and texturing to make the reflex an incredibly controllable micro compact pistol that is enjoyable to shoot, train with and carry.
“Aside from delivering a micro compact pistol with optimized dimensions for concealed carry and advanced ergonomics for control and shootability, our team chose to develop a best-in-class trigger with a clean, 5-pound crisp break. And the FN Reflex’s trigger is exceptionally good for the category with its smooth take-up and roughly 5-pound break,” said Chris Johnson, Senior Pistol Product Manager for FN America, LLC. “All in, we’ve delivered a 9mm micro compact pistol purpose-built for the concealed carry buyer with impressive ergonomics, extended capacity, a great trigger and with optics capabilities that is easy to control and shoot well. We’re extremely proud of what we have developed with the FN Reflex.”
The Reflex ships with two magazines included in the box, giving the user an onboard capacity of 26 rounds plus one in the chamber when all magazines are fully loaded. The 11-round magazine is outfitted with a pinky extension that enables most users to get a full hand grip on the frame, providing just enough space for the pinky finger to rest comfortably. The 15-round extended magazine features a grip sleeve with the same aggressive in-mold stippled texture and extends approximately one inch from the bottom of the frame, allowing for a fuller grip and more recoil control when fired. All FN Reflex pistols also ship with one flush-fit baseplate should consumers wish to swap out the pinky extension of the 11-round magazine for an even lower profile that reduces the likelihood of printing under cover garments.
Along with the release of the pistols, FN has developed and launched an ambidextrous inside-the-waistband holster for the FN Reflex and FN Reflex MRD. With a thin profile for IWB concealment, the injection-molded holster provides complete retention and immediate access. Adjustable for retention, belt clip cant and left-or-right-hand use, this new holster matches the versatility of the FN Reflex in a design customized for concealment. The IWB Reflex holster is available for purchase through the FN eStore and other authorized retailers.
See the FN Reflex and Reflex MRD at the FN Booth (Booth 5450) at the 152nd NRA Annual Meetings. The convention, hosted at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, will take place April 14-16, 2023.

The SC-CAP grant is funded by the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (SC DEW) and is coordinated by both the South Carolina Department of Commerce (SC Commerce) and the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SCMEP). The program provides funding and assistance to defense contractors to comply with cybersecurity standards known as the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). The CMMC combines and builds upon the standards outlined in the DFARS and NIST 800-171 to protect controlled information.
“We are extremely proud to have been selected by South Carolina’s Department of Commerce and the SC Manufacturing Extension Partnership for this grant,” said Mark Cherpes, President and CEO for FN America, LLC. “As a longtime supplier to the U.S. Department of Defense based in Columbia, this grant will aid our team greatly as we move forward on our path to CMMC compliance, helping bring new contracts and business to FN and the state of South Carolina.”
Over the last several years, FN America has invested significantly into CMMC compliance to ensure that the company is able to meet the information security requirements of today’s U.S. government contracts. “As a government contractor, keeping our information and technical expertise secure is a top priority,” said Jason Britton, Director of Information Technology for FN America, LLC. “We have invested heavily into our cybersecurity protocols to ensure our company is protected and compliant with all requirements we are held to as contractors, and our team is excited by the opportunity that this grant offers us to further those efforts.”

FN Unveils the FN 510 Tactical and FN 545 Tactical
FN Unveils the FN 510 Tactical and FN 545 Tactical
Two, New Big Bore Pistols in the FN Striker-Fired Line-Up with Industry-Leading Capacity, Control and Accuracy
(McLean, VA – January 10, 2023) FN America, LLC is pleased to announce the release of two new striker-fired pistols – the FN 510™ Tactical, chambered in 10mm Auto, and the FN 545™ Tactical, chambered in .45 ACP. These two big bore pistols feature industry-first capacity, with a standard 15-round capacity and 22+1 rounds of 10mm or 18+1 rounds of .45 ACP from the extended magazines. Styled after the FN 509® Tactical, the two pistols also feature a threaded barrel for muzzle devices, optics cut for red dot optics and suppressor-height night sights. Whether hiking in the backcountry or defending the home front, the FN 510 Tactical and 545 Tactical handily deliver the capacity to confront any possible situation with accuracy and precision, in a highly controllable package.
“There has been significant interest from FN owners in pistols chambered in big bore calibers over the last several years,” said Chris Cole, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for FN America, LLC. “We are excited to announce the release of the FN 510 Tactical and 545 Tactical pistols, chambered in 10mm and.45 ACP, that advance our flagship striker-fired line of pistols and complement our FNX-45 Tactical and FN 509 Tactical.”
Chambered in two of the most popular personal defense calibers, 10mm and .45 ACP, the FN 510 Tactical and 545 Tactical pistols offer industry-first capacities in an overall package not much bigger than the FN 509. At just 1.45 inches wide and just 6 inches tall with the standard magazine, these powerful defensive pistols pack serious performance into a full-sized package that can still be concealed and comfortable to shoot.
“We pioneered the Tactical feature set in the FNX-45 and FN 509 Tactical pistols, introducing the industry’s first pistol that shipped from the factory with a threaded barrel, optics mount and extended capacity, and until now, the FNX-45 Tactical had the highest capacity of any .45 ACP pistol available from the factory,” said Chris Johnson, Senior Product Manager, Pistols, for FN America, LLC. “This expansion into new, big bore calibers has been a longtime in the making and we are excited to offer these pistols with this unprecedented capacity – 18+1 in the FN 545 Tactical and 22+1 in the FN 510 Tactical – along with the features our customers seek in an FN Tactical pistol.”
The signature styling and ergonomics of the FN 509 family of pistols like the enhanced grip texturing, interchangeable backstraps and slide serrations enable superior control to manage the recoil of these powerful cartridges. Weighing in at just over 30 ounces, these heavy-duty defensive pistols efficiently tame the recoil of both 10mm Auto and .45 ACP. The double-action only pistols produce a crisp pull weighing in at approximately 6 pounds. Effective recoil management and crisp, repeatable trigger allow users to stack rounds on target.
Equipped with FN’s patented Low-Profile Optics Mounting System™ that is compatible with every major optics footprint, consumers have the ability to direct-mount nearly any optic in minutes with the included hardware. The tritium inserts of the suppressor-height night sights co-witness with mounted optics, offering a viable back-up sighting option in the event of optic failure.
The 4.7-inch barrels are cold hammer-forged and threaded with 0.578″x28 thread pitch, making them compatible with a vast majority of available muzzle devices. The barrel also features a recessed target crown to protect the rifling and maintain accuracy. The serrated sight wings that sit atop the slide protect the rear iron sights from shifting should the pistol be dropped or jarred, and act as a slide racking surface.
These powerhouse pistols are available in both black and flat dark earth (FDE) and ship with one 15-round magazine and one extended magazine – 22+1 for the FN 510 Tactical and 18+1 for the FN 545 Tactical. They ship with a premium soft-sided ballistic case that provides ample storage space for the pistol, spare magazines and other accessories.

Long Legacy, Small FN SCAR
Long Legacy, Small FN SCAR
FN Proudly Introduces the FN SCAR 15P Rifle-Caliber Pistol
(McLean, VA – December 13, 2022) Building on the heritage of the FN SCAR® family, FN America, LLC proudly introduces the long-awaited FN SCAR 15P rifle-caliber pistol. The 5.56 NATO-chambered pistol is an extremely lightweight and compact design, weighing in at 5.65 pounds unloaded and just under 20-inches in length with its 7.5-inch cold hammer-forged barrel. Specifically developed with flexibility and mobility in mind, the SCAR 15P is an ideal choice for home and personal defense applications or for everyday range use.
“The release of the FN SCAR-SC in 2018 created excitement amongst SCAR enthusiasts who hoped that we would, one day, offer this configuration as a semi-automatic pistol to the U.S. firearms market,” said Chris Cole, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for FN America, LLC. “With the FN SCAR 15P release, I am pleased to be able to deliver exactly what our consumers asked for – a pistol variant of the FN SCAR-SC – backed by the legendary reliability, durability and adaptability of the FN SCAR series.”
Machined from a single piece of aluminum, the receiver features a continuous M1913 Picatinny rail in the 12 o’clock position along with side rails at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions, providing ample rail space for a red dot, flashlight or angled foregrip. The rear of the receiver features a vertical Picatinny rail (VPR) with a quick-detach sling attachment for use with single-point slings. The trigger module that acts as the lower receiver is identical to the SCAR 16S, sharing a number of parts commonalities across the two systems. It offers an ambidextrous selector and magazine release along with compatibility with any AR-pattern magazine.
“The SCAR is renowned for its uncompromising reliability, durability and accuracy – the hallmark of FN’s quality. We are proud to say that the FN SCAR 15P meets those measures handily and delivers a shooting experience worthy of the name,” said Benjamin Voss, Senior Product Manager for FN America’s Long Guns. “This long-anticipated release carries the DNA of SCAR throughout from its short-stroke gas piston operating system, NRCH capabilities, cold hammer-forged and chrome-lined barrel, and so much more. We’re happy to deliver the FN SCAR 15P to our consumers who have eagerly anticipated this release.”
The ultracompact SCAR pistol is driven by the legendary and highly reliable short-stroke gas piston system at the heart of every SCAR. The pinnacle of reliability and durability, the pistol-length gas system runs cleanly, isolating spent gases from the moving parts group and giving you more rounds fired without stoppages. Its adjustable low-flash gas regulator and three-pronged muzzle device that reduce muzzle flash are especially appreciated in pistol configuration when firing repeated rounds down range from the fully free-floated 7.5-inch cold hammer-forged and chrome-lined barrel.
The pistol is equipped with the non-reciprocating charging handle assembly that reduces overall felt recoil due to the reduced mass of the bolt carrier, thus producing an extremely easy-to-manage system when shooting from a sling. The assembly includes the redesigned bolt carrier, charging handle sled and ambidextrous, reversible charging handles – one in a low-profile configuration and the other a 30-degree offset that enables the use of low-mounted optics and can act as a hand stop, if so desired. The low-profile charging handle is preinstalled from the factory and the 30-degree offset is included with the pistol as an available upgrade at the customer level.
Packaged in a discreet, soft-sided carry case color-matched to the pistol, moving from the home to the range and back has never been easier. With ample room within the case for spare magazines and other accessories, the FN SCAR 15P pistol case is an easy option to stow and go. The pistol is available in black or flat dark earth (FDE) and ships with one 30- or 10-round FN SCAR-L magazine. With its overall compact size, lightweight configuration and reliable FN SCAR operating system, the FN SCAR 15P is the perfect choice for a home or personal defense firearm and also an ideal addition to any FN SCAR collection.
FN Releases the Rush 9Ti 9mm Suppressor
FN Releases the Rush 9Ti 9mm Suppressor
FN’s First Commercial Pistol Suppressor Designed for Reduced Blowback and Effective Sound Suppression Delivers an Unmatched Shooting Experience
(McLean, VA – December 6, 2022) FN America, LLC is pleased to announce the release of its first commercial pistol suppressor, the FN Rush™ 9Ti. This highly reliable, durable and versatile 9mm pistol suppressor is made from a lightweight Titanium-hybrid construction and was developed for an unmatched shooting experience with the FN 509 tactical line of pistols and other 1/2×28”-threaded firearms. The unique booster assembly, blast baffle and baffle stack design provide a tight gas piston seal and even gas distribution that flows the gases forward to deliver reduced blowback to the user’s face, reduces recoil and provides effective sound suppression.
“The FN Rush 9Ti is the first introduction in FN’s portfolio of firearm accessories that enhance the end user’s shooting experience,” said Chris Cole, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for FN America, LLC. “Our goal with developing the Rush 9Ti was to give consumers a reliable and durable 9mm suppressor that met FN’s rigorous quality standards and would integrate seamlessly with the FN 509 and other 9mm hosts. We tackled some of most common complaints about suppressor performance like blowback and recoil reduction to deliver a final product capable of mitigating both.”
Perfected for performance with the FN 509 tactical line of pistols and other 9mm hosts, the FN Rush 9Ti delivers smooth, reliable function while maintaining the accuracy standards that FN owners depend upon. The overall slim design and lightweight Titanium-hybrid construction provide the perfect counterbalance to reduce recoil and maintain a clear sight picture with suppressor-height sights. The simple design also breaks down for maintenance with the included front/end cap assembly tools.
The included 1/2×28” booster assembly is entirely unique and is the smallest, most lightweight on the market. Its tight gas piston seal along with the unique gas flow through the blast chamber and baffle stack perfectly time the gas flow back into the firearm and through the suppressor tube. This enables near neutral impact to slide cycle speeds that drastically improve reliability, allowing users to have a more enjoyable shooting experience with dependable feeding and extraction across a wide array of commercial loads from light training rounds to subsonic loads. Additionally, the design dramatically improves system durability with reduced back pressure into the firearm, thus reducing overall wear and tear along with felt recoil.
“When selecting a suppressor, customers often have to choose between effective sound suppression, reduced blowback or felt recoil; you very rarely get all in one,” said John Ryan, Director of Product Management for FN America, LLC. “Our team developed a suppressor that delivers an unmatched shooting experience straight from the box. You no longer have to settle for one or the other with the Rush 9Ti.”
The FN Rush 9Ti is a highly reliable, durable and versatile 9mm suppressor that can mount easily to any 1/2×28” host and doesn’t compromise on sound suppression, gas blowback or recoil.

Authentic FN FAL Parts Kits Available for a Limited Time
(McLean, VA – November 15, 2022) FN America, LLC announces the release of 400 authentic FN FAL Parts Kits. These kits were imported from Belgium and assembled from decommissioned FN FAL model 50.00 rifles previously issued to the Belgian Gendarmarie. The chance to buy one of these parts kits is only available via entry to a Sweepstakes, open November 1 – January 21, 2023. Winners will be chosen randomly each month and will receive the exclusive opportunity to purchase their kit via the FN eStore. Additionally, a Grand Prize of an FAL rifle, assembled with one of these parts kits, will be awarded to one lucky winner.
“The FN FAL is one of the most recognizable FN products, worldwide; it is the Right Arm of the Free World,” said Chris Cole, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for FN America, LLC. “The opportunity to offer these parts kits to collectors so that they can own a part of that legacy is something we felt compelled to do. It makes it all the more special that these were originally manufactured in Belgium for a Belgian customer.”
Put into storage in the 1980s after the Belgian Gendarmarie upgraded their service rifles, these FN FALs were rediscovered and painstakingly assembled into parts kits that could be imported into the United States for sale to enthusiasts and collectors. The parts kits include lower trigger frame, buttstock, bayonet in accurate Belgian Gendarmarie purple frog, sling and more. Even with slight imperfections from prior-issued use, the metal components are mostly free of blemishes and pitting. The kits are being sold for the retail price of $899.99.

A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Customers building a complete semi-automatic FN FAL with the parts kit must comply with ATF regulatory restrictions by sourcing U.S. domestic components for the parts that are not included in the kit. A skilled gunsmith is required for assembly.
