FN Awarded NRA Golden Bullseye Award for FN 509

The FN 509 is NRA Shooting Illustrated’s Handgun of the Year

(McLean, VA – May 01, 2018) FN America, LLC proudly announces that the FN 509™ has been awarded an NRA Golden Bullseye Award for Shooting Illustrated Magazine’s 2017 Handgun of the Year.

The FN 509 Wins Shooting Illustrated’s Golden Bullseye Handgun of the Year

The FN 509, launched in April 2017 to U.S. customers and internationally in the fall, is the newest handgun to join the FN lineup. The pistol, in service with several law enforcement agencies across the United States, is built on the proven architecture of the FNS™ Compact and was further developed from the company’s Modular Handgun submission to the U.S. Army.

To qualify for a Golden Bullseye award, the FN 509 had to perform reliably during testing, meeting or exceeding the reviewer’s expectations, while possessing an innovative design and superior function that provides readily perceived value to the customer.
