FN Announces Sponsorship of 2nd Annual USC Veteran’s Day 5k Benefitting Friends of Fisher House Columbia

(McLean, VA – November 8, 2019) FN America, LLC is pleased to announce the company’s sponsorship of the University of South Carolina’s Veteran’s Day 5k taking place Sunday, November 10 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. The event, hosted by USC’s Student Government and Student Veterans Association, supports veterans and servicemembers local to the community and raises funds for the Friends of Fisher House in Columbia.

“We are proud to support the USC Student Government and Student Veterans Association’s annual 5k event to raise awareness and support of local Columbia veterans and servicemembers,” said Mark Cherpes, President and CEO of FN America, LLC. “As a major supplier to the U.S. military and with many veteran employees, this cause is highly important to us.”

In its inaugural event, the USC Veteran’s Day 5k received more than 240 participants, including a 91-year-old World War II, Korean War and Vietnam veteran, and raised more than $3,000.00 for the Friends of Fisher House in Columbia, South Carolina. The 2nd annual event will be held on the 101st Anniversary of Veterans Day and will follow a route that features local, historic monuments and landmarks. Registration fees for participants are $20.00 per person and attendees are encouraged to run, walk or ruck with full kit.
